I've been seeing a lot of reference to "peppered hair" lately in texts and found it quite poetic and nice. Personally though, I've just realized that it's ironic of me to be singling out white hair I see on my head and nipping every single one from the bud.

On a Roll Yet Ready to Break
I'm currently on a roll this month - working, blogging, writing and reading. The only things I haven't done so far is exercising after this not-feeling-well syndrome flies away.

Acupuncture and Ventosa Treatment in Manila
My back is adorned with fresh circles at the moment colored light red to burgundy. You see, I've been going to this facility slash house in Quezon City of famous Sisters "Regina" Shinrong and "Michelle" doing acupuncture for different types of ailments.

#100HappyDays Good to Great
Yesterday, I received one of those 28 Days to Great emails as part of my Barre3 Challenge. This is supposedly my final week and the message was to level up - transform "good" to "great" and go that extra mile as if it were my last day on earth. I began to have inner conversations as I walked to class this morning and have been continuously asking myself how to make everything good to great the whole day so far.

#100HappyDays The Me Day
A certain someone changed my outlook in one conversation a few years ago. She told me to make time for myself (just try it once in my lifetime because I felt so exhausted and overwhelmed) and to create a perfect day (everything I want to do in one day without thinking about what other people will say and no matter how crazy it is) then just do it. I took her advice and conjured up an image where I allotted certain chunks of my perfect day to do the things that would make me happy (the idea/plan will just come to me even at the last minute, even on the morning of the day itself). I just realized that I've been doing it unconsciously hehe - I could actually not just reserve it for Sundays and boy, do I do a lot of stuff so happily! =)

#100HappyDays Early Morning Conversations
I've come to appreciate waking up early every morning for the past few weeks with my Barre3 schedule. The first 2 weeks were spent on myself - getting acquainted with the moves, being comfortable but still challenged and adjusting according to my body. There was a turn of events though and I started having wonderful conversations with my Barre-mates.

#100HappyDays Doc's Friendly Advice to Diarrhea, What to Eat
I've been sick for the past few days, immobile really, weak and haunted by the question, "What do I eat when something I ate made me sick?" It made me cautious and worried that my body was rejecting everything I was eating, especially in the past 2 days (and so many Skyflakes and glasses of water later on the first day). My first response was to take Seirogan and when that didn't calm the pain, I took Diatabs (tsk tsk). The pain did go away but I know that my body is not well (probably made it worse), stuffed and on the edge.

#100HappyDays @Barre3PH Challenge
I've written about Barre3 before here and I was ecstatic to learn last month that The Spa finally opened a branch in Greenhills (Promenade B2) =) I've been at it every day for the past weeks and the studio has become a sanctuary to me so early in the morning.

Recovering from German Measles
No more stressful days worrying about what I have - red spots that spread fast in my arms, my neck, my face, my body, my back and now, my feet. It's becoming super itchy during the last few days and the sore throat plus the coughing was getting worse. My face is peeling like crazy and it's weird because I had downed the most glasses of water in a day. I've even put a straw to make it fun and make me drink more.

AntiGravity Yoga in Manila!
Christopher Harrison has just invaded Manila and blew me away completely with excitement and anticipation for AntiGravity Yoga. I can't wait until Beyond Yoga finishes with the AntiGravity Yoga studio in Tomas Morato early next year! Aerial yoga fitness just changed my idea of yoga and brought out my hesitations about going to yoga class in Manila - that you don't have to feel out of breath in a hot room (I enjoyed doing yoga in the cold in Baguio) and that it is possible to do a headstand or do a plank in a few sessions or at the very first day of yoga class.

Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass Stories
I'm not a horse, you can't make me eat grass. I swallowed one big gulp of wheatgrass in S&R and I tasted grass for the first time. I smiled at the lady who gave me a very generous serving, turned around and walked away.

On Losing Weight
I'm dreading the tasks I have to do to lose weight again ever since I realized I ate too much from my Mindanao trip a few weeks ago. My thought at that time was to eat as much as I can and what was available because it was already right in front of me so freely given and that I don't know when I'd be back in GenSan. Now, I'm faced with how to lose weight in Manila and still go on those awesome food trips with J. I've figured something out last night.

Cecon Advance Multivitamins Challenge
You may have noticed my chocolate counter on the side. I have not eaten cocoa (the only food allergen in my list) in half a year and I did it for my well-being. The counter keeps the commitment alive. Today, I am doing another challenge: taking the new Cecon Advance for 31 straight days. I'll put another counter below my first one.

Go Try Out Barre3 NOW!
I've just heard that they're doing away with the Free Barre3 Philippines First-Timer Trials starting July 1, 2011! I've been raving about it for a few months now, especially when Isla (one of my favorite Barre3 instructors) told us after a workout to go and take the energy we've created to the people we love and those around us. It inspired me that day of who I can become for other people.

It's Been a Long Time
It's also been a long time since I had cravings to eat the best steak in town. I used to eat beef every day of my every meal and I would always choose it over pork, veggies, fruits, other seafood, chicken and fish (in that order). I guess the year started differently with a friend who introduced me to the benefits of good health. I've begun trying out other types of food and actually liked eating in smaller portions. I've also fallen in love with Barre3 (Yoga, Pilates and Ballet mix at The Spa) and I feel unusually energized after a challenging workout.
