Sunrise Buckets at The Grove Rockwell, Buffalo Wings!

We found ourselves at The Grove Rockwell one night near Tiendesitas and found out that Sunrise Buckets had just opened another branch. I am guessing that this small area with restaurants will turn out to be another cool hangout place in Manila. It's nice and quiet since The Grove is being developed by Rockwell Land as a residential enclave - somewhere you can escape but still close to the Tiendesitas, Eastwood, Ateneo and the Medical City. It's a good thing that the part where there is good food is open to the public.

There's also something about eating buffalo wings by hand without getting them dirty =)

It was a nice move for Sunrise Buckets. I, for one, enjoyed their surfing-themed restaurant in Ortigas. This time around, chef owners Abigail and Bridget drew inspiration from their New York (one of my favorite places in the world) and Miami beach adventures and created another Sunrise Buckets branch! Sunrise Buckets at The Grove is one part city and one part beach so you get to pick where you want to escape to right in the city.

The Sunrise Buckets menu has around thirteen flavors of buffalo wings. My personal favorite, Juan's, was especially made for the Pinoy taste (if I'm craving for sweet and mild spicy buffalo wings). I also like the Sunrise Original Wings (if I'm craving for the tangy buffalo wings).

They had a speed-eating contest for the Ultimate Crazy Hot Wings while we were there. A brave contestant said she could take the spicy, but the steaming, just-fried wings with the spicy was just too hot to handle.

Another thing I loved with the Sunrise Buckets buffalo wings experience was to drink the night away.

They have a few beers in their selection, I chose IBC "Rootbeer" float. Hahaha. It was a very nice (and not too sweet) drink and dessert-in-one!

I'm looking forward to going back to Sunrise Buckets again this month. They have a Birthday treat if you go there on your birthday. Hehe. It's very nice to be transported to New York on my birthday. I'd give anything to go back to New York. "Traveling", for me, can also be as simple as that =) In our busy world, we can simply go to Sunrise Buckets The Grove if we want a taste of the Beach or the City That Never Sleeps.

Sunrise Buckets is included included in my Guiltless Getaways picks of restaurants and date places in Manila. My other favorite buffalo wings places in Manila include The Grillery, Brooklyn Pizza and Belgian Fries.
