If you're planning a lunch or dinner for the family and you don't know where to start, maybe this can help you. You don't have to know how to cook to do this and it is quite a deviation from our Aubergine Christmas lunch last year. You just have to be in Manila to put this DIY Lunch/Dinner all together like my sister did for Christmas =)
I was quite busy doing portion control and being sick to take a lot of pictures but here is a list and locations of where to buy the dishes in this feast:
Ham & Cheese Platter - pick your own from Santis Delicatessen (store locations here, Gruyere and Gouda perhaps?),
Salmon Served Two Ways - Baked Salmon from Conti's Pastry Shop & Restaurant (store locations here) and Salmon Sashimi from Cold Storage Seafood (store locations here),
Bouillabaisse from Barrio Fiesta (classic favorite!, one near EDSA Greenhills),
Raclette Fondue - Raclette from Santis Delicatessen (store locations here, has a heavy smell but good!, add paprika), side with cornichons and baby onions from Rustan's Supermarket, thinly slice potatoes from market,
Roast Beef Beef Belly from Deli Boys (Northeast Square Greenhills, Facebook)
Chicken Relleno from Conti's Pastry Shop & Restaurant (store locations here, prefer herbed chicken though)
Grilled Pork Belly / Liempo (meat from market then grilled, sauce: salt, vinegar, garlic)
Crispy Pata from Barrio Fiesta (one near EDSA Greenhills)
Paella from Barrio Fiesta (one near EDSA Greenhills)
Cake (try Hizon's Mocha Cake at Promenade Greenhills or Estrel's Caramel Cake)
Choose the ones you like (ehem, Bouillabaisse, Raclette, Roast Beef, Pork Belly, Suggested Cakes hahaha), maybe add some greens and fruits then celebrate with the family (this menu is good enough for 20 people!) at any time of the year =)
